When I decided to start this blog, I was not sure what I was going to do. Luckily, an awesome woman, Kristin Remm, who I met at church church, had one up and running. She introduced me to her blog and showed me the ropes of WordPress.

Kristin’s blog, Walk on Water, is a Christian faith blog full of encouragement and resources for believers in Christ. There are many Christian blogs out there, but I like Kristin’s because she brings a fresh perspective to ideas that are often overlooked. For example, the story of Christmas is often read from the book of Luke. Kristin wrote a compelling article about why Jesus chose to come live among men from the perspective of Philippians. Philippians is a letter originally written to a church in a city called Philippi. It comes later in the Bible and looks back on Jesus’ ministry as Paul, the author, uses Jesus’ ministry as an example for this new church in Philippi. Most people writing about Christmas choose to stick to parts of the Bible which tell the Christmas story itself. Kristin didn’t do that and I think that’s great. Another reason why I enjoy Kristin’s blog is that she is someone I look up to in my personal life and hope I can be more like some day.
